Cassandra E. Hopkins-Whiten

Cassandra E. Hopkins–Whiten was born in Cuero to Elizabeth Odom and the late Micah Hopkins. She was called home to be with the Lord on Nov. 10, 2016.

She was a member of Mt. Bethany Baptist Church in Thomaston.

She is survived by her Mother Elizabeth Odom of San Antonio, daughter Truquwelya Williams of San Antonio, sons Wesley Whiten Jr. and Walter Whiten, both of Cuero and daughter Cshawndra Whiten of Cuero. Also survived by her brother Glenn Love of San Antonio, sisters Christshawna Williams of San Antonio and Tonya Hopkins and Tesa Hopkins of Houston, Felicia Brown of San Antonio and Gwenn Love of San Antonio, Stepmom Carol Yates-Hopkins of Houston and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her father Micah Hopkins, Grandmothers Mable Polk and Fannie Blackwell, as well as Grandfathers August Odom and Joel Love and Uncles.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 19 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Grace Memorial Chapel (Formerly Heritage Funeral Home) with funeral services beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Nobles Cemetery in Cuero.
